The elastic itself is unremarkable in a good way — it stretches enough to go over a beanie or buff without feeling like it’s about to snap, and Hank’s added a light-reflecting logo on the band, which is a nice small touch for anyone using this on a dog walk or road-adjacent errand after dark.

The more interesting story is in the retention system, and it’s worth knowing that this isn’t the first strap Emisar has sold for these lights. Practically speaking, this is not a tilting, ratcheting headlamp mount like you’d get on a Petzl or BioLite — it’s an elastic sling that holds a cylindrical flashlight against your forehead at whatever angle the light’s own right-angle head points.
